Weather has been changing quite suddenly here. Today, it's been somewhat cold...brrrr! It's been windy all day and it's just that wind that makes it cold...blowing that cold air in from the coast I suppose. As some of you already know, this type of weather I love. I'd much rather have it bone chilling than hotter than a frying pan. So, suffice it to say, I've been quite chirpy all day long because of it.

Well, I didn't do much today. Simply layed around the house working on some of my hobbies; that is, creating some updates for this site and working on some new 3D modelings. It seems like each time I start up a new 3D project, it never gets finished. So, today I've been looking back at some of these to see if I can finish some of them up. It's not that I lose interest, but rather something would come up that would force me to put a project aside. And by the time I get back around to it, I've almost forgotten all about it....forgetting is not hard for me to do...hehehe. Besides that stuff, I've also just been rocking out to some of my music and last but not least, playing with my new toy! Oh, have I mentioned it yet? Yesterday, being right after Thanksgiving, were huge sales that it seems every business known to mankind had put on. It's an annual thing so it's nothing unusual. Anyhow, I decided to take advantage of these sales and drove down to the nearest Circuit City to spy on some of their latest cameras. I've always had my eye on a newer model...more powerful model than the one I have now; which is an HP Digital 735. I mean, it's cool and all but it just doesn't cut it for me. So, I've wanted to buy one with "super" "optical" zoom and "anti-shake" of some sort. Well, I saw the "Minolta D-image Z6" and fell in love! Here's some of the amazing specs to this bad boy:

  • 12x optical zoom
  • 48x total zoom
  • Anti-Shake
  • 6.0 Megapixels
  • Interchangable lens extension
  • 2-inch super TFT LCD display
  • Full feature camcorder mode with the ability to zoom in/out, etc.
  • built-in image editor
  • and a billion other awesome features

I wanted a camera that had the capability of a powerful 35 mm but not it's heavy bulky size. This, is what called my name! Wahoo! But the problem was, it was the day after Thanksgiving, and you all know what that means right? People are literally camping out in front of the stores so they can be the first ones in to snag up all the sales. And my God, if you're there at the moment when they pop open those doors, you had better be ready to fight your way through with teeth, nails and clubbing over the heads if you wish to make it to the doors! I decided to take the smart rout. I waited 'til about noon before I headed down there, since I figured that most would be done shopping or out eating..hehehe! But, I was wrong! Gee-zuz-christ was I wrong! There were so many people there trying to fit through the doors to reach the sales that I could have sworn they were crawling over each other, tripping each other and saying, "look! Superman!", just so they can rush through! I guess everybody had the same idea as I...huh! Well, I ended up fighting and surviving the crowd...minus a tooth or two, a nail and a lock of hair. Alas, I was in, and I immediately snagged up that cam with the biggest, evilest grin on my face and eyes like that of the most lecherous person. It didn't really help either, when I began petting it and hugging it and laughing that sinister evil-man laugh as it's typically found in cheesy horror movies, cuz everybody seemed to be staring at me with worried eyes. Eh, screw them, that have noooooo clue. And the price tag? Well, I could honestly say it wasn't a whole lot being that it was a big sale. I only dumped $400 into it. Not too bad considering that it's originally about $500 or so. In either case, I think I made out like a bandit and am quite proud of myself. Anyhow, so I've been playing around with it some more today...(minus the hugging and kissing), and still can't get over at how amazingly powerful this baby is! I mean, the shots are superbly crisp and clear, even distant shots. And the zoom is absolutely amazing! The night vision is super clear and not dark at all. But siiiiigh. I guess I'll be eating Ramen noodles for another 3 or so months. But you know, I just couldn't pass up that sale! I haaaaad to have it! Well, maybe I can save some money by getting everybody couple of tickets to the theaters this year for Christmas....ya!

Well, now that Thanksgiving is over, I gotta worry about Christmas! Geez, it just never ends! I have no clue as to what I should get everybody! I've never been good at guessing games....and Christmas is the biggest guessing-game-day of the year! Wheew! Thank God it only comes around once a year! Anyhow, I suppose I'll end this here. I'm running out of thoughts. Besides, I think my beer is finally getting to me. Oh by the way, take my advise, next Thanksgiving if you're hitting the sales, be sure to bring a bat and a tear bomb or two. You just might make it in with everything intact.
