As some of you may remember from my previous article, this trip was a business trip with a company I work for that deals in online travel and related. 4 or 5 times a year we take off on an all-expense payed trip to some destination. I, being new to the company was on an adventure of a life time for the first time. And wow! Amazing it was. The destination this time around was to the Paradisus luxury resort in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Let me tell you, that resort was nothing like I've experienced! Even though it is rated 4 or 5 stars, it seemed like it was a 10 star hotel...if they are even rated that high. I felt like I was on some enchanted island, residing in a grand castle of sorts. Everything was prestine white and if it wasn't, then it was gleaming marbles, smooth rare wood finishes and crystals, golds and other glistening rocks or jewels. Then again, being at hundreds of dollars per night, no wonder every sight there was something to behold. I swear everything, and I mean EVERYTHING was done or created to perfection. Even the darn employees, the waiters, waitresses, bellboys, bar-tenders had perfect postures, gestures and smiles. And God dang! I don't think I saw even a slight wrinkle on their uniforms!
Even though it was a business trip..which meant some work, there was plenty of time to tour the place, go on minor expeditions and simply have fun and relax. Actually, that's exactly what I did the first day there....relax. We were all so beat from the flight, nothing sounded better than to simply fall into their comfy beds and nod off. Of course, as the days progressed, I did some kayaking, swimming in the ocean, pools, touring, drinking, dining and lots and lots of picture taking.Speaking of food, wow! The food there was just absolutely amazing! On one night we dined in their Japanese restaurant. Man, let me tell you. I've never tasted a better Japanese cuisine than what I tasted there! And the chef wasn't even Japanese! And of course, being all inclusive, we took advantage of the foods, beers and wines. Then there was the breakfast. Geez! I think they had everything in the world there to pick and choose from. I mean, everything from cereal to exotic fruits to a gamut of yogart flavors to eggs, bacons, waffles, rolls and on and on and on and on! And oh, you want eggs? Sure, would you like them fried, over-easy, scrambled, poached, bacon-eggs, ham-eggs, spicy eggs, egg salsa, egg sandwich, boiled, broiled, whites, browns, egg rolls, egg this, egg that, egg etc, etc, etc!? And all right there infront of your eyes to choose from, freshly made!! Good grief! I thought I was just gonna starve cuz I couldn't make up my mind. Hmmmm...if I only had 2 stomachs. Let's not forget the beers and mixed drinks. I think I've had more drinks there than I will ever have for the rest of my life. Wheeeeeeeew! And man, I didn't know what to make of some of the mixed stuff! There was a rainbow of colored mixed drinks the bargirls were concocting! But damn, they were all good...wheew!
And the girls there? Ooooooooooooooooooooo man! If I wasn't madly in love with someone special here, I might have about 6 kids by now. Hehehehe!! Shame on me! But I'll just say....yummy! I better not post any pics of these girls...Cheng might kill me. Actually...wait, what pics! I don't have any pics of beautiful girls! What am I saying! Even though there were plenty of female eye-candy, I must confess that I really didn't go girl hunting. There was just too many other things to enjoy and see.In the end, even though I had an absolute blast and it was an amazing experience, I am sure glad to be back home. I suppose nothing is like home sweet home. But if I could have any voice about your next vacation.....and if you have the budget, pleeeeeeeeeease, do take a trip to the Paradisus in San Juan Puerto Rico. That would be the one vacation that would stick with you for a life time.
