Hello once again folks. It's been quite awhile since my last update. I've had a slew of clients I had to bust my ass in trying to accomplish websites for. Atlast, I'm finally down to only 1 left...which isn't a tedious one to undertake. Wow! These past few weeks it's been really hectic for me and quite stressful. Between my job and my freelancing, I've had absolutely no time to myself, including any type of updates. But alas, here I am with something to post..yes, yes, it's been a long time in coming.

Well, my business trip to Puerto Rico is fast approaching. I have to do a Flash presentation for the company and thank God that I'm nearly done with it. At this point, I'm just prepping it with a few touch ups and making sure that nothing will go wrong during the presentation..such as the computer crashing or the darn Flash program freezing up right in the middle of it all. All seems to be good however.....atleast I'm hoping and praying. I'm just really looking forward to this trip. It will be my first trip out of the country......well, atleast out of the continental US.

In other news, summer is getting ready to near its end...WAHOO!! Winter, here I come...or, Fall rather. Which also means, Football season is again upon us! Another Wahoo! I just hope my darn...(Raiders), will do something this season. They happen to be the laughing stock of the whole NFL the past 2 seasons....quite embarrassing to say the least......and sporting my Raider cap and clothes. well, I got myself yet another brand new laptop. Ya, ya, ya, you're saying, "So what's this make it, your 9th one"? Hahaha! Nooooooo! Not even close! It's only my 7th one!! Hehehe! Okay, quite honestly, it's my 3rd one in a 4 year span. But this time....this time, I decided to go ALLLL out! This time around, I bought one of the most powerful laptops one can possibly buy. It would be considered the Lamborghini Diablo of the laptops. Well, maybe not quite, but close enough. For this beast, I went through a company that specializes in custom built powerful workstations. No, no, it's not what you're thinking...not an Alienware. I wouldn't get one of those for the life of me. After all the horror stories I've heard from owners and past, I've come to find out that Alienwares are nothing but overhyped up, appealing-to-the-eye-with-no-duribility, type of laptops. Instead, I went with a Sager....its competitor. And I tell you what, this baby is P-O-W-E-R-F-U-L-! WOW!! Infact, let me tell you what I customized it with:
  • 60 Gig 7200 RPM Hard Drive; with the capability to slap in & run 3 simultanious HDs...(not external but internal)
  • 2 Gigs of DDR SDRAM
  • 3.6 GHz Pentium 4 HT with 2 Meg of L2 Cache
  • 256Mb X800 ATI Radeon graphics card...WOW!! WOW!! WOW!!
  • 15.4 inch WUXGA LCD display (widescreen 1920x1200 resolution)
  • Removable/swapable DVD+R-R/RW/CDR+RW combo drive; (DVD burner with double layer burn/CD burner)
  • Built-in stand-alone MP3 player
  • Built-in Webcam
  • Built-in 6 speaker dolby digital surround sound speakers with 1 subwoofer...(yes, all built-in)
  • Duel battery mode (yes, 2 batteries instead of 1 built right in)
  • Removable/swapable Floppy drive
  • 3 in 1 card reader slot
  • Infra red communication
  • Wireless 802.11g networking/internet
  • Bluetooth technology
  • Built-in TV tuner
  • Built-in Microphone
  • 4 USB 2.0 jacks
  • 1 parallel, 1 serial, 1 firewire, 1 modem, 1 LAN, 1 S/PDIF out & 1 external monitor out jacks
  • PCMCIA slot
  • Duel monitor capability
  • Laptop carry case
  • A fancy certificate of quality and durability from Sager
And not to mention the darn 20 pound A/C adapter...(not quite 20). Wheeeeew! Oh ya! This baby is pure power and speed! And God!! This thing is heeeeeeeeeavy!! Man! I swear I need to lug it around on a damn push cart! Well, but that's the sacrafice. If you want brute power and speed, you gotta expect the thing to pack alot of weight as well. But wow! this thing is amazingly fast and furious! As an example, I do alot of 3D renderings with Bryce 5.5...which isn't exactly fast in its renders, but with my previous laptop...which I will still respect because it was quite powerful as well, it would take a good day, sometimes days to render a scene. But.......that same scene, I've done on this new baby here and it only took 12 minutes!! MY GOD!!! 12 FREAKIN MINUTES!! HOLY MOLY FREAKING....umm...WHATEVER! This thing is powerful!! Anyhow, that was all the good news about my new toy...now the bad news? Well, let's just say that I had to sell my soul to the devil, gold to the leprechaun, and signed a 200% interest contract with the nearest mob to finance this new baby. The way I look at it is, hell, I'm still young, the devil is gonna have to wait alittle while before he gets his share. The gold, heck, I could find another piece somewhere. And the contract with the 200% interest?....hmmmmmm......I wonder how living in Mongolia sounds?

Well, that wraps it up for this article. It's getting to be about dinner time right now and I'm starving. Hmmmm, what's for food....let's see. It's a selection between......pork noodles or shrimp noodles. Gosh, how shall I ever decide. Anyhow, in conclusion, take my advise. You can sell your soul to the devil without much trouble. Could even give your pot of gold to the leprechaun next door. But.......and it's a biiiiig but. DON'T sign a contract with the nearest mob that comes with a 200% interest. Hell, 200% interest is alot of money!!
