One of the things I truly hate is moving. I don't ever want to move again.....that is, in a long while. It's just the hastle of canceling so many services, transfering ones I want to keep and having to wrestle with one problem after another. Take for example my internet service, which is DSL. several days prior to my move date, I called up SBC to let them know that I wanted to transfer my existing services to a new address...okay, no probs there. So on the day of the move, things got switched over smoothly...so it seemed. The following day I decided to check on my DSL service and I got the shock of my life...almost. Apparantly those idiots had accidently canceled my DSL service rather than transfering it. I said, "How in the hell did you guys make that mistake!?". I have so many things that relies on me having high speed connections. I couldn't believe it! So they said it won't be up and running until another week! I was almost crapping in my pants after that. So I cursed under my breath and accepted the wait. Finally, a week passes..........and more problems! Geezuz Christ! That morning, they got everything established but still, I had no internet! They had to send three technicians down to solve the reason why I couldn't get a connection. So after doing a bunch of tests, wiring and additional crap, they finally got me up and running. After all that, I was back online and going about my business...smooth, cool, relaxed. Then would you believe it, the very next morning my internet connection wouldn't work! My God!!!! Why me!?! So that evening I called up SBC to try to find out what went wrong this time and they said they had some problems with their lines...so it looked. They said they'll have a technician call me quickly...which they never did. If they did, they didn't leave me a message on my home phone since I wasn't there. And of course, they didn't even bother calling me on my cell as I had explicitly requested of them. Well, to make a long story short, I was finally told later on that SBC themselves had an area outage. By Saturday of that week, everything was back to normal....so it seemed. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeew!!
So now that all of my moving was knocked out, I still had to help my friends move as well. And oh boy, they've got lotsa junk! And dingbats as they are, they haaaaaaaaad to wait to the last, final, absolute-to-the-billionth-degree minute before packing their crap and begin moving! Geezuz Christ!!! I could really strangle them! The problem is, they had a deadline to get everything out and have the place clean and ready for the house inspection. Grrrrrrrr!! Ahhh heck, what the hell. I can't be mad at them for too long. Afterall, they "are" good friends. God, too bad there weren't a body of water around here....I'd call them up and say, "Heeeey you darling couple, let's go fishing!", and on the way there they'd ask, "So...what's those bricks there for?", and I'd tell 'em, "Oh, you know, to weight the boat down alittle since I'm sure it "may" be awfully light and the ripples might toss us around a bit". God I'm so devilish! Oh well. Man, I tell ya. I'm still kinda sore. I dunno why either since I work out often....well, not as much as I use to though. But geez, I'm sore in muscles I never knew I had! God I hate moving!Well, to change the subject, school is nearing an end! Wahoo! Just under 3 weeks remaining...which means, I should start getting to work on my Final. Actually, it should be a relatively easy one....abit time consuming. In either case, thank God this will be my final semester in a looooong while. I'm sick to death of school.....as I keep griping about it in my previous articles...hehehe! Anyhow, I better end this now since once again, my fingers are complaining....not to mention my back, my neck, my shoulders, my knees, my thighs and my darn feet! Siiiiiiiigh.....I'm just getting old. Well, in closing, I'd like to give you some advise. If a married couple asks you to help them move...just "accidently" bang your shin into some sharp corner. Make it look like you really got hurt.....hehehehe!!
